About Ads on Cars
What is Ads on Cars?
A platform for drivers who want to earn something on the side with advertising on their car. We bring together two sides who have had a hard time finding each other: drivers with unused space, and businesses who want to advertise locally, from gyms and tradespeople to insurers and retailers. So the advert on your car is never ours; it always belongs to an advertiser.
Who advertises on my car?
You decide. You see the campaign with the company, the product, the term and the payment before you apply. Anything you do not like, you leave.
Signing up and costs
Is registration really free?
Yes. Registration, your vehicle profile and access to the platform cost nothing. On the free plan you see one released campaign and can apply to it. With Pro you see every campaign, can apply to all of them, and can upload photos of your car.
What does Pro cost?
A fixed yearly amount, shown on the pricing page, or once, as Lifetime, with no renewal. Nothing else is added: the price is the price.
Are there hidden costs?
No. There is exactly one price for drivers, and it is on the pricing page. Anything that applies to a particular campaign, such as who arranges the wrap, is in that campaign's agreement, before you say yes.
Your car and what is required
Which cars are suitable?
From a city car through estates and SUVs to vans and pick-ups. What matters is good cosmetic condition. You state the condition yourself when you sign up, and many campaigns set a minimum for it.
What do I need to qualify?
There is no single bar to clear. Each campaign brings its own criteria: vehicle type, colour, condition, annual mileage, region, and whether the car is garaged. Your profile is matched against those. The more complete it is, the more campaigns you come into question for.
Can I register more than one car?
No, one car per account. If you have two, you need two accounts with different email addresses.
Can I register a trailer?
No, we only place advertising on cars. Vans and minibuses are fine; trailers are not.
Earnings
How much can I earn?
It depends on the campaign, your region and how much you drive. Drivers typically earn between £45 and £350 a month. The exact amount is shown on each campaign before you apply.
What decides the amount?
Three things: which company is advertising and what it spends per car, which surfaces of your car are covered, whether that is the rear window, doors, bonnet or a full wrap, and how long the campaign runs.
Can I advertise for several companies at once?
You can apply to several campaigns. Whether your car ends up carrying one advertiser exclusively depends on the campaign. Many advertisers care about that. What applies is set out in the campaign's agreement.
The wrap and the term
Will the advert damage my paint?
No. Only professional, residue-free high-performance films are used. Your original paint stays untouched.
Can I still use a car wash?
Yes. A professionally applied wrap is made for everyday use and is not harmed by a car wash. It needs no special care.
Who applies the wrap?
We arrange that with you directly once a placement has been made. The place and the date depend on the campaign and on where you are. You know what has been agreed before you say yes.
How long does a campaign run?
Between one and twelve months. The term is shown on the campaign before you apply.
Do I have to accept every campaign?
You apply of your own accord, so there is nothing to accept. A campaign that does not suit you is one you simply pass over, with no effect on later placements.
Can I stop early?
Yes, you can leave at any time, observing the agreed notice period.
Your account and special cases
My car was sold, stolen or damaged. What now?
Tell us and the advertiser as early as you can. What happens to the ongoing payment follows the campaign's agreement. The sooner we know, the easier it is to find a way through.
How do I delete my account?
Write to info@ads-on-cars.com and we will delete your account along with your personal data. There is currently no button for it in the member area.
I am a business. How do I advertise here?
You create a campaign describing the product, the surfaces, the region and your budget per car, and we match suitable vehicles. You see every application with its vehicle profile and decide yourself.
