What does advertising on your car pay?
Between £25 and £310 a month, depending on how much space you give up. Here is what each spot on the car is worth and what the amount depends on.
What each surface pays
Full wrapup to £310/mo.
Side doorsup to £120/mo.
Hoodup to £60/mo.
Rear windowup to £45/mo.
Bumperup to £35/mo.
License plate frameup to £25/mo.
Maximums per surface. What a particular campaign pays is shown on that campaign, before you apply.
Licence plate frames: the smallest surface
The place to start if you would rather not have the car wrapped. The plate frame carries a name instead of the dealership's, and nothing else about the vehicle changes. It pays the least of everything in the table above, and it is the smallest intervention. Every surface is released separately, so a plate frame and a rear window are not either/or.
What decides the amount
How much space you give up
The biggest lever by far. A full wrap pays many times what a plate holder does, and it shows. You decide how far you go, and you can release each surface on its own.
Which company is advertising
Every campaign brings its own budget per car. A local tradesperson works to different numbers than an insurer. The amount is shown on the campaign before you apply.
How much you drive
Advertising works when it is seen. Many campaigns therefore set a minimum annual mileage. The more you are out on the road, the more campaigns you come into question for.
How long the campaign runs
Between one and twelve months. Payment is monthly and the term is fixed in advance.
Which vehicle you drive
From a compact car through estates and SUVs to vans and minibuses. Trailers we do not place. Which vehicle types qualify is set by each campaign, and you see it on the campaign before you apply.
What is realistic
The figures above are ceilings, not promises. Release one surface and you earn a little; give up the whole car and you earn a lot, and drive visible advertising for it. Most people land somewhere between. What actually adds up depends on which campaigns suit your car and your region, and on whether you get to see them at all.
Why many drivers still earn little
Because they only ever see one campaign. On the free plan exactly one is released; everything else stays covered. With Pro you see all of them, can apply to any, and can upload photos of your car. And photos are what advertisers look at when choosing.
Does it add up for you?
Signing up and creating your vehicle profile costs nothing. After that you can see which campaigns exist for your car.
